TOEIC (Test of English For International Communication)

The TOEIC®test is the leader in English language certification. More than 5 million candidates worldwide take the TOEIC® test each year. It is also the most flexible test in Greece, since it is frequently administered.

 

What is the TOEIC®?

 

The TOEIC® is a multiple-choice test which measures accurately language ability levels of non-native English speakers. The scores achieved by the candidates indicate how well they can communicate in English with others in an everyday working and social environment.

Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection

 

The TOEIC® has been recognized by public sector businesses and the Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection (ASEP) and the Greek State.

 

ASEP recognises the TOEIC, as proof of knowledge of English at the following levels:

Universities abroad use the TOEIC® for entry into their English-speaking undergraduate and graduate programmes and for placement in their English classes. They also use the test to measure their students’ progress and to provide them with a reliable, internationally recognized certification of the English language.

Practical Information for the TOEIC®

 

How often is the TOEIC® exam administered?

Every week in Athens and Thessaloniki and regularly in local test centers all over Greece.

 

Where is the TOEIC® test administered?

There are test centres all over Greece. Contact us to find out which is the closest test centre.

 

How often can I take the TOEIC® exam?

Each candidate is allowed to take the exam once every 30 days. The Hellenic American Union maintains the right to change the testing date for a later date for any candidate who ignores the above regulation.

 

When are the results announced?

Within 5 days after the test date. The certificate is received on the next working day.

 

If I have a disability can I still take the TOEIC® exam?

The Hellenic American Union provides equal opportunities to everyone. If candidates need special arrangements, they should contact the TOEIC Department at the Hellenic American Union three weeks prior to their desired test date to ensure better service. There is no additional cost for providing special arrangements.

 

Is there a different test for each level?

No. There is only one test for all candidates.

 

Do I get a certificate regardless of the score?

Yes, all candidates receive a certificate.
